Summary/Abstract: A literary journey binding together writers, books and movies from various countries of the world. But especially from the USA, having a common denominator – New York City. New York is not the only metropolis characterized by huge masses of people, cultural diversity, abysmal solitude, fulfilled or brutally scattered dreams, incoherence, urban chaos, radical social differences, violence and modern crime. But this city sums up all the other cities, becoming their quintessence.
