Summary/Abstract: The pedagogy of the Early Childhood will be explored by referring to different definitions and views, considering mostly how theories and policy requirements have informed and shaped the pedagogical practice in the Early Years development. The article aims to analyse the four major perspectives regarding child learning and development: developmental, social, cultural and rights perspectiveas well as the levels of child development.
