Bulgarian entrepreneurs operate in extremely difficult conditions. The conclusion that there are many problems to Bulgarian SMEs is based on a survey information. One of them depended from entrepreneurs’ abilities is “lack of skills and experience in management and marketing”, as well as the fact that most entrepreneurs prefer to keep their businesses at a level of “earning a living” and employ only people among their immediate family or relatives. The third part is devoted to the perspectives to Bulgarian SMEs. There are a number of factors influencing the SMEs’ inability to obtain the necessary information. The cooperation between the entrepreneurs and the business-support organizations (in the cases when it was accomplished) proves to be especially beneficial to the SMEs.
