Development of Lubuskie voivodeship after the accession to the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The article presents statistical data describing the economic situation of Lubuskie Voivodeship from the year of the accession of Poland to the European Union to 2011 in the background of voivodeships bordering with the western neighbour of Poland and the national average. In the research the data analysis and the Hellwig’s synthetic measure of the development were applied. The greatest progress after 2004 has taken place in Lower Silesia, but in 2011 Lubuskie Voivodeship was closest to the model i.e. the European average.
