Speech therapy management: Where is it heading?

Summary/Abstract: Students with language disorders have always existed in schools, and specialists have been concerned with assisting these students. The current educational system emphasizes the importance of the speech therapist and of the psycho-pedagogue (educational psychologist) in helping children overcome their educational issues, including the language disorders. This research was an ascertaining study that identified specialist attitudes about speech therapy management and its importance for helping students overcome their educational difficulties. The participants in this study consisted of 48 field specialists who answered a questionnaire. The results reiterate the importance of the role of Speech Therapy Management in developing and enhancing the entire educational process for pupils with language disorders.
