Dilemmas of regional policy in a new programming period of the EU

Summary/Abstract: The turn of the programming periods, turbulences and changes in the worldwide economy need a new approach to the matter of regional policy. The main dilemmas connected with the programming of the EU regional policy for the period 2014-2020 concentrate on a problem and range of cohesion of the organization, divisions inside a group of countries, which result from the differences in views of the member countries on chances of cohesion policy survival in the present form, a new paradigm of regional policy and its functioning in extreme conditions of the world economy crisis, financial limitations and searching new sources and instruments of investment process financing and also a possibility of new model introduction of regional policy. The conditions listed above make programming process difficult and prolonged.
