Ecological, public and economic aspects of the spatial order in the region

Summary/Abstract: The spatial order in the regional and local scale is undeniably an increasingly more important factor of the social-economic development. Its improvement is a condition of effective achieving of priority objectives of the European Union: competitiveness of regions, sustainable development and cohesion. An inspecting of three selected aspects of the spatial order corresponding to the contents of the sustainable development is a purpose of this article. An attempt to justify the mutual agreement of organic, social and economic rations possible to achieve in the long term, was made. As the leading trajectory of solutions a polycentral development of networks of cities was shown.
