Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the importance of multicultural management treating it as a XXIst century challenge. The paper presents demographic problems which among others decide about a change of global, including Polish, work market. Facing new situations an enterprise has to manage on its own and use multicultural diversity for its own purpose. The management, which cultural competences become the most important, has to fulfill a special role in this process. The competences also accompany the process of “entering” an organization and staying there. The process of adaptation of employees coming from different cultures plays a key role among them.
