Summary/Abstract: The idea of using games in education is not new. Although the advantages of using this method of teaching have been known for a long time, nowadays people highlight them as an alternative way of teaching. While implementing this technique we should remember about both − strengths and weaknesses.The purpose of this article is to provide opportunities and limits of gamification, as a process of education and development. The text is based on the results of observations conducted by the authors in a course of training, when they made use of different games. There are also quoted opinions of the participants of these classes, gained by using structured interviews. We also used a content analysis of publications devoted to the idea of gamification, including articles, videos, and expert statements posted on the websites: grywalizacja24.pl and www.ted.com.
