Strategic and alocation efficiency of regional development policy

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the study was the development and validation of methods for evaluation of regional development policy efficiency (consistent with the concept of sustainable development policy). The evaluation included two aspects of this policy in terms of capital efficiency of regional development: strategic efficiency (sustainability) of policy development and allocative efficiency of public funding. The method was verified on the basis of studies evaluating the efficiency of public intervention in the Opolskie Voivodeship in 2004-2013. The results of this study provide recommendations for improving the efficiency of programming and the implementation of regional development policy examined in the next financial perspective of the European Union.
