Summary/Abstract: Over the past few years, it has become noticeable that both circles of business practitioners and academic milieus which deal with the issues of management and marketing are devoting more and more attention to the question of measuring and creating intangible assets of enterprises. The problems discussed are vital not only for market subject in a strict sense, but also for territorial units. What is nowadays becoming the major success factor for the latter is the way they are perceived by the people who will potentially form relationships with them (such as potential investors-entrepreneurs, residents, tourists, the central government)from the perspective of particular planes of problems which were subject to assessment and research. In the present article, the author has proposed the possibilities of using path models in determining the attractiveness indices of territories such as towns or cities, districts, voivodeships, geographical or territorial regions, and even entire countries. Moreover, the article presents the results of author’s own research conducted on a sample of over 1000 respondents who were asked to assess the attractiveness of the Ukrainian market with respect to the possibilities of taking up work there
