Summary/Abstract: Companies and CEOs previously controlled their reputation in both business and consumer markets, aided by PR firms and crisis-management plans. The switch from traditional media and corporate monologues on websites to social media on the Internet makes every Internet user a journalist. People judge companies, brands and products. In this transparent world reputation management requires new skills and rules.
