Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to analyze the course of cooperation developing between France and African countries. Through the development of its economic position the African continent is a place of increasing global competition where France is losing its market share. However, it is possible to reverse this trend, and the chances for this remain significant. Nevertheless, the presence, as well as the desirability of this cooperation are being gradually reduced as new business partners appear. To strengthen French partnerships, it would be necessary to rebuild them by setting new targets and new areas of activity. This article focuses primarily on trade between France and the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the French foreign direct investment in these countries because such cooperation should be rebuilt first − based on the movement of capital in this area.
