Summary/Abstract: The conclusion is that the passage of Constantine's prophecy in Chapter 13 of Vita Constantini is a later interpolation. This study has not aimed at identifying the author of the text, but we can summarize the results of the information so far discussed as follows: Chapter 13 of Vita Constantini is the work of a non-orthodox author or scribe, who was not necessarily condemned by the Orthodox as being a non-Orthodox heretic. The text cannot be attributed to Constantine, since he was professor at the Πανδιδακτήριον της Μαγναύρας and was definitely not Arian. It could be attributed rather to a less educated person from possibly rural Russia or the monastic circles in the Balkans. Another possibility is that the text was written by an author who used the language of the heterodox in order to attract them. The contribution, in this paper, is to stress the fact that numerology, as used in Chapter 13 of Vita Constantini, is necessary for grasping the hidden meaning of the inscription on Solomon's chalice.
