Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an overview of Cognitive Continuum Theory and quasirationality, which combines rational analysis and intuition in decision making process. According to Cognitive Continuum Theory there are modes of cognition that lie on a continuum between intuition and analysis. Different manager’s activities require different kind of cognition. The article consists of two main parts. In the first one the author presents rational and later intuitive model of decision making. Then she characterizes the model that combines rational analysis and intuition (quasirationality). In the last part of the paper the author depicts the main assumptions of Cognitive Continuum Theory and some proposals of its application in management practice.
