Summary/Abstract: Starting from the premises that the modern man of the compurerized society disposes of a multiple identity (administrative, professionnal, personnal, demi-personal, hyperpersonal identity) and that the tendency in the cyberespace is to abandon one’s civil identity in order to adopt a virtual identity, the author of these pages: (1) procedes to an estimation of the extent of the phenomenon, (2) submits a concise presentation of the specific functioning of these provisional and disposable identities and (3) formulates some psycho- and sociolinguistic clearing up of these identity games.
