The New Copy of the Story “Theophana, the Pub Keeper” in Comparison to the Other Witnesses

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the variants of the text of the story “Theophana, the Pub-Keeper” from a recently published copy – S1 – in the MS № 326 (509) kept in the SS Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia. The variants are important because the copy is a contamination between the second and first versions of the text and they supplement the critical apparatus in the book of E. Turdeanu. The article also tries to determine the rationale underlying the revision and the typical differences between S1 and the other copies. It also provides a list of lexemes and collocations found only in the variant readings of S1.
