Summary/Abstract: An aim of the paper is to present the scope of work performed under the National Program of Municipal Wastewater Treatment regarding the possibility of fulfilment of directive 91/271/EWG by Poland and thus the provisions of the Treaty of the Accession within the scope of improving water qulity. This article uses the source materials of the Ministry of the Environment and National Water Management. This article has a review character. This work uses the method of data and comparisions analysis.
