Summary/Abstract: Poland’s economy was relatively immune to negative impacts of the recent financial and debt crisis compared to other EU countries. The economic situation at the national level was relatively good, although it was significantly diversified in particular sections and branches of the economy. Thus, the main aim of this article is to present changes in enterprises’ economic standing between 2007 and 2013 (period of financial crisis and debt crisis influence) at the disaggregated level. In order to achieve this selected indicators depicting economic and financial situation were utilized and analysed in divisions of the national economy (2 digit NACE rev. 2). The outcomes provide evidence for intense financial deterioration in selected branches of second (e.g. metal production, production of wood commodities, remaining extraction, construction, construction works) and third economic sector (accommodation, wholesale vehicle trade, tourism, sport and recreation). On the contrary, relatively immune to negative economic changes were sections of the economy concerning: production and trade of food, supply of basic services for enterprises and inhabitants, as well as production of paper, medicines, computers, rubber and plastic commodities.
