Summary/Abstract: The protection of archival material in the process of any changes in society, especially in the transition process is very complex and responsible job. In order to fully realize it is necessary to create adequate legal and bylaw solutions and achieve good cooperation between all the stakeholders involved in these processes, companies, commercial courts and competent archival institutions. The author has tried to answer these questions in regard to the protection of archive material in the process of transition in Eastern Herzegovina
