Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this article is attempt to characterize the Internet as an advertising me-dium of Internet and overview of the opinions of Internet users about advertising on the Internet and on e-mail. To achieve the objective, there were used secondary sources, reports research insti-tutions and literature.The Internet is a large part of socio-economic development. It is for many people the most important source of information. Given the above, it is impossible not to mention the advertising nature of the Internet. The most important advantages of advertising network are enormous availa-bility, low cost execution and emissions, multimedia communication, ease of reaching the target group, the ability to obtain accurate data about the effectiveness used form of advertising.Companies still invest in online promotions. This confirms the continuous growth in online advertising expenditure. However, about 90% of Internet users are reluctant to advertisements placed on the Web. Much advertising on the Internet is cumbersome and intrusive, so Internet users often remove them, even without checking what they refer.In order to counter the reluctance of Internet users companies should focus on factors which are at least a little more attractive unwanted message. The most important for customers is the advertisement contained elements of humor, was well made and original. It should also contain a extensive information concerning a given product.The research also shows that companies should reduce the frequency of advertising or his in-trusiveness. Internet users prefer reach themselves the information they need.Companies should take care that their materials (brochures, catalogs, current information) will be easily accessible on the Web, but it can not be aggressive and an annoying message.
