Development and financing of renewable energy sources. The case of German economy

Summary/Abstract: Renewable energy sources have an increasing impact on the functioning of contemporary economies, especially German economy. The renewable energy sector in this country is one of the most developed and inno-vative in the world. The article presents aspects related to the development and financing of projects based on RES in Germany. The information presented in this report has been prepared on the basis of data: the German Ministry of Economy and Energy (Bundesministerium fuer Wirtschaft und Energie), Internationale Organisation für Erneuerbare Energien (IRENA), The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and Arbeitsgruppe Erneuerbare Energien-Statistik (AGEE-Stat).
