Summary/Abstract: The article presents an attempt to analyze and interpret sources of satisfaction sense of knowledge workers on the example of a group of lawyers. The study was conducted in the national law firm based on the original author’s method of measuring the sense of professional satisfaction of the diagnostic attributes of objective and subjective development of professional satisfaction. The results indicate that the key source of stabilizing the positive emotions of professional satisfaction are located in the feeling of responsibility, reasonableness and validity of the work and independence and autonomy in the work of the employee. In contrast, factors limiting the satisfaction were diagnosed as lack of opportunities for promotion and staff development. From a point of view of management of knowledge workers these areas are dangerous determinants of motivation and employee retention.
