Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to diagnose and recognize the relationship between the job satisfaction felt by employees and the role and influence of trade unions on HRM in organizations. The main research scope of the proposed article is an attempt to describe the activity of trade unions in the area of HRM. The assumption was made that unions are important subjects in the institutional scope of the implementation of the modern personnel function, but in practice it is not always so supportive. In this light, there are presented the results of a satisfaction level with control variables (subjective attributes) such as: declared motivation, adequate pay, and the realization of professional development. The results of these studies were confronted with the evaluation of degree of influence of the social partner on personnel decisions. It can be assumed that the participative and relatively significant operational role played by trade unions in the area of personnel decisions does not translate into a high degree of job satisfaction in employees employed in this company.
