Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to clarify the scope of competence which should be possessed by a person recognized by organizations as a talent. The authors compare the results of the research and a list of competencies indicated in various studies as constituting or enabling a person to be considered as a talent or not. On this basis, a universal model of competence has been proposed which includes the skills needed in terms of talent, regardless of the position they occupied. A positive verification of the model can help to optimize the process of recruitment and selection of talents among the organization’s employees and job applicants. The article is based on secondary sources, using the method of desk research.
