Identification of the social problems of rural women form the perspective of local authorities and organizations

Summary/Abstract: The literature provides knowledge about the socio-economic problems and barriers to development of rural areas. For years constant is their list: unemployment, poverty, alcoholism, aging citizens, lack of social and technical infrastructure, weak human capital, financial shortfalls. By far, however, are rarely addressed social issues in local politics in the context of social problems of rural women and the gender mainstreaming, the integration of the principle of equal opportunities for men and women in creating lo-cal public policies. This is not due to negligence or lack of interest of researchers in the subject, but the fact that the local policy, especially rural areas not included in this rule
