Summary/Abstract: The Department for Protestant Theology of the “Lucian-Blaga” - University Hermannstadt/Sibiu has dedicated the double volume 14-15/2014-2015 of its yearbook konfluezen to Prof. Dr. Hans Klein, in honor of his75th birthday. Hans Klein has been a professor for the Old Testament, then for the New Testament at the Faculty for Protestant Theology of the Lucian-Blaga-University Hermannstadt/Sibiu for decades. As Dean of the institution, he succeeded to educate, shape and influence generations of clergymen. He is not only a famous professor and scholar, a highly recognized and dedicated civil rights campaigner, but also a Christian orientated poet. In this capacity he shares his spiritual beliefs and spiritual life with his readers. The poem Das Kreuz im Winter (The Rood in Winter) depicts through suggestive images of the magical experience of a rood in winter the reflection of spiritual and empirical values, which leave deep traces in a consciousness aware of its faith.
