On the relationship speaker – addressee in written academic discourse

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of principles and concepts belonging to socio-discursive interactionism and the theory of action, we attempt to demonstrate the interactional side of written academic discourse from the perspective of author/ speaker – reader/ addressee relationship and show that the text corresponding to this discourse displays a diagonal structure. The domain of reference of the type of discourse analyzed is Economics.
