Summary/Abstract: The ancient development of mythology in Kaoni is not very clear. This is the main reason why there is a lack of genuine temples, having instead more natural places like mountains, caves, waters etc. The research topic is subject to all types of Albanian folklore, through preserved rites of birth, the period of initiation and maturity, to marriage and death, furthermore life in community and social environment; together with the human relations with phenomenons of nature, which have not always been in his favor. Special attention is given to the connections of the hero of oral epic creations in general and the presence in Albanian ballads and tales, in particular and to their preservation in the region of Ionian Coast. Survivals of these cults are investigated even in oral lyric creations, where mountain and water have played an important role in the erotic lyric; water as a meeting place of the young couple and a symbol of fertility, while mountain as the symbol of preserving love secrets, and the symbol of pure love.
