CHARACTERS OF MONSTERS DRAGON AND HYDRA IN ALBANIAN IONIAN COAST

Summary/Abstract: The object of this study is the depersonalisation of dragon and hydra in Albanian Ionian coast. Based on the reconstruction of the sacred texts and their fragments, which speak to the spaceship game(agon) between Hydra (Indra) and the dragon, it is possible to reconstructed legends of Ionian coast. In dealing with the attributes of the hydra with dragon in Albanian ethnological studies, echoing the historical positivism and especially the theory of transmission of borrowing motives, efforts that these two mythical figures in historical vertical coordinate to appear as if one follows the other, namely Dragon follows the hydra and so the image is created if we are dealing with a mythical figure, but presented with two names and belonging to two historical periods: the hydra of a ancient period has replaced the dragon of a later period. To reach the conclusion that we are dealing here not with layers attributes these monsters through various historical periods, but the two deities, which meet points in a buffer zone between the sun and earth. And at this point reach vertically from opposite directions: underground hydra, and the dragon of the sky.
