Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between organizational learning and innovations considering the mediative role of confidence. Distinguishing the relations between the indicated variables with the use of mediation effect helps to broaden the knowledge about the mechanisms of creating of innovations. The object of the research is one of the largest grey ironcast metalworks in Poland. It turned out that together with the increase of each of the dimensions of an independent variable (organizational, team and individual learning) the value of the independent variable increases. Interestingly however, the strongest relationships occur between organizational learning and innovations. On the basis of carried out analyses one can state that confidence mediates in the relation between individual learning and innovations. One should pay attention to the fact that the observed mediative effect is relatively weak (despite the fact that it is statistically significant). In case of team learning and innovations, a lot stronger mediative effect of confidence can be observed. However, an astonishing discovery is that confidence cannot be considered a variable that would be statistically significantly mediative between organizational learning (that is, the variable which would be linked to innovations the strongest) and the dependent variable.
