Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the factors of innovation and analyze the changes of the index in Lithuania; to identify the quantitive assesment of factors and how much they affect the Summary Innovation Index of Europe. Article consists of three main parts. First of all, a comparative analysis of innovation theory was conducted based on research of various authors. Secondly, using statistic data of European Commission and Statistics Lithuania, the analysis of Summary Innovation Index of Europe in the period of 2009–2015 was represented. Thirdly, using SPSS program, the models of linear regression were composed and the main factors determining Summary Innovation Index in Lithuania were evaluated.
