Summary/Abstract: The Province of Quebec - where the majority of the population is French catholics- is a home to 25 percent population of Canada and has undertakend a number of importartant initiatives and endeavors with the aim of being an independent state. Therefore, the Quebec question has been an achilles heel of Canada’s territorial integrity and unity throughout the history. However, compared to other ethnic conflicts, the quebec question has not caused a great deal of violence and terror. Within this context, the purpose of this paper is to analyse the the Quebec question since its emergence.
