Summary/Abstract: NATO is regularly referred to as one of the most successful alliances in world history. In today’s world, there has been no comparable military alliance which can compete with NATO’s large military and political reach. However, there are disputes on the effectiveness of NATO post-Cold War. The extended membership of Eastern European countries - including Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic - also really contributed to the debate over the purpose of the alliance. In this regard, the purpose of this article to analyse the effects of the enlargement on its future.
