Summary/Abstract: Trade is one of the key forms of cooperation between different countries and foreign trade may have an impact on the economic development of the country depending on whether the country is developed or underdeveloped. It affects both economic growth and the competitive position of the national economy, depending on the nature of the products on which the export and import is targeted, as well as the adopted economic policy and changes in the foreign economic environment of the country. The article analyzes French foreign trade with Africa. For this purpose, the value of exports and imports and the share of French trade in the economy of sub-Saharan Africa were considered. These are mainly countries with a low level of development of their productive forces. Foreign exchange creates opportunities for rapid industrialization, increasing the standard of living of residents and raising their rank in the international arena. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the foreign trade of France and African countries – in particular the export and import of goods and services in recent years.
