Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to highlight the significance of the deceased Professor Elżbieta Tarkowska for the community of the Summer School for Young Pedagogues, as well as to emphasize the involvement of Professor Tarkowska in creating and spreading the ideals of the Summer School for Young Pedagogues. In the first part of the article, I present the beginnings of Professor Elżbieta Tarkowska’s cooperation with the Summer Schools, based on the idea of interdisciplinarity in science, which is endorsed during the September meetings in the framework of the Summer Schools. In the second part, I present the cooperation of Professor Tarkowska with the participants of the Schools, as well as her engagement in the development of young academics. Part three deals with the idea of writing epigrams, limericks and other literary forms during the Summer Schools. It includes all the literary works created by Professor Elżbieta Tarkowska during the Schools, as well as those written by other participants referring to Professor Tarkowska.
