Summary/Abstract: Social media are commonly used by organizations to achieve various means. This paper aims on shortly describing both the information-communication technologies (ICT) solutions used in urban public transport systems and social media. In the article, the potential application of social media for public transport operators are discussed on the grounds of the existing literature from this field and conducted analysis. The analysis included presence of three Polish public transport operators in social media.
