Summary/Abstract: We are researching It is how social and economic issues related to economics are reflected in the 7th grade social studies textbooks. The review is intended to show that the economic mind does not really enter the textbooks. The method of study is an economic based content analysis analysis. For this purpose, social studies textbooks, which are taught at secondary schools in Turkey, have been examined by document analysis technique. At the end of the review, economic misconceptions, history, and geographical information are missing. In the context of our research, it will be seen that basic references are used to understand the historical mind.Problems told and described from the words of H. Inalcik M. Genç, A.G. Sayar and especially with thementality based on ground breaking researchs S. Ülgener and A.Tabakoğlu who was took a holistic approach to theTurkish economic history.
