Summary/Abstract: Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) is a method used to popularize safe behaviors of employees at work. The aim of the study described in the article was to verify the hypothesis that a systematic process of observation of the employee in the workplace will lead to an increase in behavior’s safety and a reduction of the number of risky behavior. The study encompassed a manufacturing company in the food industry with 500 workers on payroll. The analyzed data had been collected during the 8 months long observations in the framework of the BBS program. As expected, the analysis of the ratio of identified risk behaviors indicated a decreasing trend, while the rate of safe behaviors a pronounced increasing trend. The analysis also enabled selection of positions where risky behaviors are taken significantly more often. The results also indicate an increase in employees awareness of risky behavior and the results of risks. The results indicate the reasonableness of the implementation of programs of BBS in the organization.
