Summary/Abstract: Starting from the attitude that every prediction is subject to critical examination, the author checks the validity of Marx's statement that there is no realization of philosophy without the abolition of proletariat, and concludes that today this statement gives rise to various dilemmas which were unthinkable in Stalinist Marxism due to the reduction of philosophy to the »classics of Marxism« and absolutization of their opinion. He points out that the critical attitude towards the classics of Marxism was not only indispensable but also logical in the conflict of Yugoslav Marxists with Stalinism. The author focuses however, on the analysis of Marx's XI thesis on Feuerbach which points out that the philosophers have interpreted the univers differently without influencing its changing due to the neglect of the primary items in the world. Unlike them, Marx stated that the man as the highest being must be the fundamental problem of philosophy. The pre-marxist philosophy dealt with Sein while Marx demands that in interpreting the world one ought to start from the place and role of the man in it, namely that the problems of world are closely connected with the man. Thust philosophy can return to its primary task and be abolished as the traditional philosophy. Unlike some critics of Marx, the author does not agree that thereby the philosophy is reduced to anthropology, but he is of opinion that Marx was wrong in conditioning the realization of philosophy by the proletariat. But thus the spirit of Marx's work is not deserted, which is aware of the humanistically conscious and organised human kind as realizer of philosophy.
