Summary/Abstract: Queen Mary was one of the most beloved of the Romanian queens. Although she was not born in Romania, she charmed everyone with her beauty, bravery and the charity of her heart. Hence her death, in 1938 caused great sadness. Newspapers, writers, politicians, and royalty, both foreign and domestic all sent their sympathies to the royal family.
