Benchmarking as a tool for supporting of controlling in the logistics area

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present selected issues of benchmarking and controlling in the logistics area and to describe relationships between them. Depending on the approach, we can specify four types of relationships between benchmarking and logistic controlling in an enterprise: benchmarking is part of logistic controlling, benchmarking is a tool for supporting logistic controlling, benchmarking and logistic controlling are independent in enterprise, benchmarking is a method of management for supporting controlling in the logistics area.
