Summary/Abstract: In the 19th century, in Braşov, several traders bore the name of Orghidan. Unfortunately, not all of them have yet been able to strict genealogical link. As regards the future engineer Constantin Orghidan, it was possible to establish that in 1797, in the district which leaves the name of Schei of Braşov, was born Rudolf Orghidan. It has developed an intense commercial and cultural activity,Supporting the appearance of several books and journals. In 1848 of the same it supported The Revolution of the Romanians. In 1858 the business going wrong it moves to BucharestOr he died in 1862
