There is a separatechapter presenting how the historical criticism, the criticism of rhetoricand postmodern is present in the American Bible studies. In a broadsummary the author sums up his vast insight in the inspirational workof the Biblical reserachers and scholars in the USA, who after longperiods of European influence not only succeeded to become independent,but also created a specific approach within Bible studies.
