Identification of crisis threats in enterprises and factors that can soothe the crisis

Summary/Abstract: In order to manage in crisis conditions not only the formal knowledge is necessary, but also experience and practical abilities of managers regarding threats’ identification are required. Leaders must know what measures would lead to the soothing of a crisis and include them in recovery programs. When the World economy is in crisis, the survival of a company might be problematic. The application of western models and theories associated with crisis management was not successful in Poland because of low effectiveness of crisis management methods used by Polish companies. The purpose of this article is to focus attention on important problem of identification of crisis threats and on measures leading to the mitigation of crisis consequences.
