Summary/Abstract: The increase in internationalisation of Polish universities strengthens their role in global processes of education and development of science and research. The issue of the article refers to the process of internationalisation of Polish universities. One aspect of internationalisation is the system of marketing communication- oriented international customers. Communication activities should be consistent and integrated at the level of the university, its departments, and individual organisational units of the university. The purpose of this article is to analyse and diagnose the communication activities of universities in the international environment from the perspective of the principles of integrated marketing communications. The article is based on an analysis of literature sources and case studies of communication activities of Polish universities in the real and virtual environment. The research results demonstrate the need for an improved integration of activities in the area of marketing communication addressed to the international customer segments of the university. Internationalised education offer of the university requires a proper presentation in the virtual space, in particular international website. The article demonstrated the need to adapt the university’s communication to the international standards to effectively manage the image of the university on the global Internet.
