Semantics and Syntax of the Verbs {życzyć, gratulować, winszować} (‘to wish’, ‘to congratulate’)

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a semantic and syntactic confrontation of verbs wich indicate the speech acts in Polish: to wish (życzyć) and to congratulate (gratulować, winszować). The point of departure to the presented discussions is the observation that some authors suggest three syntactic positions of this verbs: agentive, objective and addressee. The author presents the results of research into using of this verbs and tries to give semantic characteristic of syntactic positions.
