Summary/Abstract: In 1949 the Bulgarian town Varna was renamed Stalin in honor of Joseph Vissarionovich on the occasion of his 70th anniversary. The paper aims to show the ways and methods by which the Fatherland front and the Bulgarian communist party demonstrate their allegiance and loyalty to Moscow.
