Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon and – respectively – the problem of psychological well-being is relevant not only in the theoretical context of the speeding modern positive psychology, but also socially and practically. There are sufficient number of reasons to postulate the general hypothesis that the predominant part of the behavioral problems of modern Bulgarian pupils have their profound cause of the serious deficiency of psychological well-being among them. The author presents the thesis about the need for regular monitoring of the level and the peculiarities of the psychological well-being of the students of all stages and ages in the Bulgarian school. It is also analyzed the possibility to extend and enrich the conventional welfare model with a new content component – the phenomenon and self-affirmation construct.
