„This Day Started with Grief for me”. The Intimate Voice of a Diary

Summary/Abstract: The research comments the first diary of the prominent Revival social activist and bookman Todor Burmov. I concentrated on his notes about the school development, church struggles, city life in Gabrovo during 1860s. In this aspect the research explores the regularities in the rise of individualism as opposed to the Revival collectivism.
